Abstract

The elastic impression materials were used when takinb the impression after electrosurgery and alveolar bone shape for the subperiosteal implants.
Type III polysulfide regular Permlastic and vinyl silicone- Exaflex were selected for the purpose of evaluating the aseptic condition and the bacteriocidal or bacteriostatic action.
The impression materials were applied on L. B. (Luria-Bertani) medium with and without E. soli, and cultured for 24^48 hours.
The result were as follows ;
1. Selected elastic impression materials had no influence on the growth of E. coli. Therefore there were¢¥ no bacteriocidal and bacteriostatic action for the E. coli.
2. There¢¥ was no bacteria growth of the impression materials which were cultured with L. B. medium.
